In 2014, Tracey was working as a business analyst for a large mining company. The corporate vibe had lost it's shininess and she
wanted to find a new challenge; a place where she could use her management accounting and analysis skills to make a difference
for small businesses.
Appy Books was born!
Since then, Appy Books has built a growing portfolio of small business clients, implemented cloud-based automated accounting solutions for compliance bookkeeping and provided practical and insightful analysis into the health and direction of these businesses. Appy Books often acts as the plain-speaking glue between accountants and business owners. The three of us work as a team to become an unbreakable triangle, moving towards the same goals. Appy Books are a sounding board and helping hand on a regular basis, not just at year end. They are bookkeepers that care about their client's success.

In December 2022, Tracey was crowned the Bookkeeper of the Year in the Australian Accounting Industry Awards. It was a welcome accolade as recognition for her long career in innovating and caring for the finances of small businesses and the mentoring of business owners. She has even bigger plans for more projects in 2023 so watch this space!
Tracey's favourite food group is cake and she is partial to the occasional glass of wine.
